Welcome to The Tanning Room, where bright and fun vibes meet an upscale studio experience just steps from the beach in beautiful La Jolla. My main goal here is to make each and every client feel comfortable and confident from the moment they walk into my room until they walk out the door, golden and glowing. The process of getting a spray tan can be a little intimidating, as you are pretty much stripping down to your birthday suit (or close to it), and I'm here to reassure you that you can leave any and all insecurities at the door! With my extensive knowledge of skin tones, solution lines, bronzers, and formulations, in combination with my guidance from start to finish, I will provide an experience that will make first-timers and veteran spray tanners alike coming back for that perfect glow time and time again. There's nothing so bad a quality spray tan can't fix so book that appointment and let's get glowing together! ‼️Please review the following Pre- and Post-Tan Guidelines to ensure you get the most out of your spray tan experience‼️: 📣PRE-TAN INSTRUCTIONS--KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: 1. EXFOLIATE & SHAVE 24 hours before your appointment to give your skin time to recover from any irritation. * Method: Use a gentle, oil-free scrub or exfoliating mitt to remove any dead skin cells. Avoid harsh shaving creams or lotions that will cause irritation or create a barrier on the skin. 2. SHOWER at least 4 hours before your appointment to allow pores to close. * Important: If showering right before, finish with a cold rinse to help close pores. Avoid any mineral oil products as they can leave an oily residue on the skin (Dove, Olay, Bath & Body Works, etc). 3. NO LOTIONS/OILS/CREAMS, DEODORANT, OR MAKEUP: * Important: These products can create a barrier on the skin and interfere with the absorption of the tanning solution. 4. CLOTHING: Wear dark, loose-fitting pieces like T-shirts, joggers, sweats, or loose dresses. Avoid tight items like leggings, jeans, and sports bras. * Footwear: Open-toed sandals or flip-flops or slip-on booties in the winter. If it's raining, bring an umbrella. 5. OTHER BEAUTY SERVICES: * Timing: Complete all other beauty services like mani/pedi, waxing, facials, lashes, and massages at least 24 hours before your spray tan appointment. * Important: Do not wax any area for the duration of your spray tan (7 days minimum). 📣AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS *8 HOUR/OVERNIGHT SOLUTION: 1. At your designated time, do your first rinse with warm water ONLY. Use just your hands to gently rub off the cosmetic bronzer. Keep this quick, avoiding all soaps and shampoos. Hop out as soon as the water runs clear and pat dry. 2. Moisturize with a spray tan safe lotion or oil. *Recommendations include Infinity Sun, Hempz, Cetaphil, CeraVe, Method, and Native brands, or avocado, sweet almond, sesame, jojoba, argan, and dry oils. AVOID any products containing mineral oils and/or alcohol. 3. After your initial rinse and preferably 24 hours after the spray tan, you can shower as usual. Just avoid scrubbing and any harsh exfoliants. 4. To prolong the length of your tan, stay hydrated, moisturize 1-2 times daily, wear sunscreen (no aerosol), and avoid prolonged periods of time in saunas, chlorine, or salt water. *HYBRID/RAPID SOLUTION: 1. Rinse times vary depending on desired outcome and are as follows unless otherwise stated: - [ ] 2-3 hours: light glow - [ ] 4-5 hours: medium - [ ] 5-6 hours: medium/dark - [ ] 6-7 hours: dark - [ ] 8+ hours: ultra dark 2. Follow Steps 1-4 above after reaching your desired rinse time. 3. NOTE: Your tan will continue to develop for 24-48 hours after initial application so please wait until then to judge the final result✨
